Mountain Bike Course Information
Mountain Bike Training Fees 2019
~ Beginner Course (7hrs) - 4 week, Cost: $185.00*
~ Novice or Intermediate Course (7hrs) - 4 week, Cost: $185.00*
~ Midweek Men's & Women's mixed - 5 week, Cost $195.00*
~ MTB Continuation (10hrs, High Intermediate) - 6 weeks - Cost: $275*
~ Girls MTB Development (10 - 14yrs) - 7wks - Cost: $185.00*
INSURANCE and HEALTH - ALL course participants must be a current financial member of MTBA or Pedal Power or equivalent.
ALL participants must provide a copy of thier current financial cycling membership for dirt riding prior to attending training courses.
Options include: MTBA membership or Pedal Power Membership. All participants must fill in a Pre-Exercise Screening Form.
EQUIPMENT
All participants must have a real mountain bike with minimum front suspension that has had a recent tune-up (no hybrids please). We suggest either a hardtail or dual-suspension mountain bike. An Australian Safety Standard approved cycling helmet and a sense of adventure and humour.
TRAINING COURSE DESCRIPTORS

TRAINING COURSE DESCRIPTORS
- Beginner - never been on the dirt, or tried and very nervous or fitness is an issue
- Novice - Those who have ridden dirt a few times and need help with basic skills, working small obstacles and increasing confidence, knowledge & safety.
- Intermediate - can with standing up on pedals, moving body around frame, riding some smaller obstacles, can 'pop' front wheel.
- High Intermediate - is confident to 'have a go attitude', medium fitness for climbing, can bunny hop front & back wheel.

FULL - SUNDAY'S: Women's Novice / Intermediate Course (4wks)
Start - January 13, 20, 27 & Feb 3
Maximum: 6 riders per coach
Time: 8:30 - 10:15am
Locations: Canberra MTB trails
Intermediate: For women who have been riding mountain bike for a while and would like to increase their skill, speed and confidence. Has basic fitness, adventurous and a sense of humor. Come along and build your skills to become safe and confident mountain biker.
Novice: For the women & girls who have tried riding dirt trails and would like to develop their skill and technique. Perfect if fitness is an issue or you are lacking MTB confidence.
All riders are assessed during first class and goruped accordingly.

Dates: starting in March
For ladies who have attended the Novice or Intermediate *courses and would like to further their MTB training. Over 6 weeks the focus is on increasing skills and confidence over technical trails & new tracks. These may include: rock roll overs, step ups, drop offs, small jumps, descending & climbing, increasing skills and confidence as a rider.
As you progress this will assist overall fitness and encourage your adventurous spirit.
Bring your best side as all participants will be filmed during the 6wks
Designed for ladies who want further challenges and posses a "have a go attitude". Check with Raynie if unsure. if you are eligible.
Pricing: $275.00
Max: 5 rider per coach

Refund Policy - 1/01/2018
Cycle Education applies the following policy in assessing eligibility for refunds;
If Cycle Education cancels a course in which you have enrolled and fees have been paid, a full refund of fees will be approved. We will re-credit the credit card used on enrollment, or direct deposit into your bank account. Please allow up to three weeks for the refund to be processed. Alternatively the payment can be transferred in full or part to another course. No refund will be granted after you have enrolled and paid, unless the course is cancelled by Cycle Education.
Non-attendance or inability to attend your enrolled course does not warrant a refund. However, you may substitute another person to take your place.
Consideration will be given to variations to this refund policy in exceptional circumstances. If you consider you have a basis for such a claim, please email: info@cycleducation.com.au
