DESIGNED FOR
- novice - has ridden on the dirt a few times, trying to understand gears, braking, basic body positioning, yet to try obstacles.
- intermediate - can ride the green trails, might get anxious riding small obstacles, tendency to over brake and loose momentum.
- high intermediate - can ride the blue trails but looses speed when climbing, descending, cornering and descending.
Riders who want to improve their confidence and skills riding a variety of dirt trails for both firetrails and single track. The weekend is not designed around MTB racing however the information provided will enhance your overall mountain biking knowledge. The February course will have a greater emphasis on skill development and working obstacles and of course the end of day socialising.
All participants must have a real mountain bike with minimum front suspension that has had a recent tune-up (no hybrids please). We suggest either a hardtail or dual-suspension mountain bike. An Australian Safety Standard approved cycling helmet and a sense of adventure and humour.
