Designed for a variety of skills:
  • novice - you have ridden on the dirt a few times, still trying to understand gears, braking, basic body positioning for obstacles.
  • intermediate - you can ride the green trails and some blue trails.   You have a tendency to over brake and loose momentum.
  • high intermediate - you are confident to ride most blue trails but need to smooth your riding skills over obstaces: jumps, drops, rock obstacles - you would like to imporve your cornering and descending.

Riders who want to improve their confidence and skills riding a variety of dirt trails for both firetrails and single track. The weekend is not designed around MTB racing however the information provided will enhance your overall mountain biking knowledge. The February course will have a greater emphasis on skill development and working obstacles and of course the end of day socialising.

All participants must have a real mountain bike with minimum front suspension that has had a recent tune-up (no hybrids please). We suggest either a hardtail or dual-suspension mountain bike. An Australian Safety Standard approved cycling helmet and a sense of adventure and humour.
